What’s up you guys? I know the whole porn guy blogging thing is a little tired and I haven’t done it much (if any) for quite some time, but I figured I owed the occasional 25 or so daily visitors to my blog a legit blog update.
I spent some time in the last few weeks shutting down our legacy CC*Bill infrastructure bullshit. I call it that because it is so outdated and almost nobody signs up that it’s frankly a waste of my annual $500 merchant fee. Yes, that’s right. For the honor of using their shitty outdated system you have to pay them $500 for the privilege of charging against VISA cards. Most normal sites don’t do this but Bank of America (CC*Bill’s payment liason here in the states) probably had something to do with that. Maybe. I hold no ill will toward them, but they’ve off-shored their support to Russia (apparently?) and I’m just not a big fan of the Ruskies right now. Uncle Steve would rather talk to someone whose first language isn’t written in Cyrillic.
Okay, bitching aside, I’ve put up all of my original content on ManyVids and (mostly) Clips4Sale stores. I highly recommend ManyVids due to their beautiful UI and frequent improvements to the system. Even some of their improvements that I don’t agree with (like taking away our ability to set the order of videos), but it’s all mostly good and fun. I’ve entrusted them with the highest HD versions of all my videos shot starting from when we began in August 2000 until my most recent (and future) video shoots. When I shut down CC*Bill sign-ups I also “closed” the web sites other than keeping all of the landing pages, tour pages and galleries that are published. They now direct you to ManyVids or Clips4Sale if you want to get in on the action. Those sites will stay up indefinitely for branding and SEO purposes. The HTML on those pages will get a refresh at some point in the future to account for mobile devices, etc.
I am planning to shoot more content (and soon) but I swear it is super difficult to hire someone decent here in the deep, deep South. Conservative values have brainwashed the vast majority of naughty 18+ year old girls out here, so it’s an uphill battle. I noticed Dakota Vixin (who was our last scene shot) is now a blonde so I may try contacting her to do a one-off scene. Yes, Uncle Steve likes to shoot locals whenever possible. There isn’t much of an industry representation here, but for those who do try to stick it out in this conservative ocean it’s worth my time to support them. Bring it on!
